Wives - are the "Companions" - Men - Women

Women are essential for the existence of all human beings . After all, men are born of women, not the opposite. Majestic God tells us in the Quran that He created men and women, all with just one person , Adam , peace and blessings be upon him . Adam, God created a partner ( Eva ) , and these two Allah brought forth many men and women.

Allah also told us that we were all created from a single soul , and from it , gave birth to her partner and too many tribes and nations, and we are all different , so we can recognize.

Wives Islam are considered companions to his " other half" . The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him ) taught his followers to marry and to fulfill and complete the "other half" of religion or lifestyle. Marriage is considered a complementing halves together in Islam. These lessons have seemed strange that reveals the attitudes towards women at the time .

At a time when the rest of the world, from Greece and Rome to India and China, considered women as no better than children or even slaves , with no rights whatsoever , Islam acknowledged women 's equality with men at many points. The Quran says:
women men
"And among His signs is that He created for you wives you from among yourselves , that you may find rest and peace of mind in them, and put between you affection and safe, some mercy in this are Signs for those who reflect . " . [ Noble Quran 30:21 ]

Prophet Muhammad said :

"The most perfect in faith amongst believers is he who is best in manners and kindest to his wife" [Source: "Sunan" Abu Dawud]

Muslims believe that Adam and Eve were created from the same soul . Both were equally guilty of their sin and fall from grace , and God forgave them both. Many women in Islam have had high status ; reflect the fact that the first person to convert to Islam was Khadijah , the wife of Muhammad , whom he loved and respected . His favorite after the death of Khadija , Ayshah wife, became famous as a researcher and one of the greatest sources of Hadith . Many of the female companions achieved great things , and achieved fame , and throughout Islamic history there have been famous and influential scholars and jurists.

We may also mention that while many in the West criticize Islam with regard to the treatment of women, in fact, a number of Muslim countries have had women leaders and presidents . To name a few: Turkey , Bangladesh and Pakistan.

With regard to education , women and men have equal rights and obligations. This is clear in Prophet Muhammad :

" Seeking knowledge is obligatory for all believers. " [ Hadith ( saying of Muhammad (peace and salvation be upon him ) was collected by Ibn Majah ] This implies men and women .

A woman should be treated as God has endowed with rights, such as being treated as a person with the right to own and dispose of her property and earnings , enter into contracts , even after marriage . She has the right to be educated and work outside the home if you wish. She is entitled to inherit from her father, her mother, and her husband. Very interesting to note that in Islam , unlike any other religion point a woman can be an imam , a leader of communal prayer , for a group of women.

A Muslim woman also has obligations. All laws and regulations pertaining to prayer , fasting , charity , pilgrimage, doing good deeds , etc. , apply to women, but with minor differences having mainly to do with female physiology .

Before marriage , a woman has the right to choose her husband. Islamic law is very strict regarding the necessity of having the woman's consent for marriage. The groom gives a dowry to the bride for her own personal use. She keeps her own family name rather than taking her husband. As a woman , a woman has the right to be supported by her husband, although she is already rich . You also have the right to seek divorce and custody of young children . It does not return the dowry , except in exceptional circumstances.

Although Muslims in many places and times have not always adhered to all or even many of the above , in practice, the ideal has been there for 1,400 years, while virtually all other major civilizations have not begun to address these issues or change their negative attitudes until the 19th and 20th centuries , and there are still many contemporary civilizations which have not yet done so .

The Prophet (peace and salvation be upon him ) ordered his companions never abuse their wives . He rebuked and admonished them, saying . " How can you treat like animals in the day and want to be intimate with them at night "

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said all in one simple sentence: "The best of you is the best to their wives, and I am the best of my wives"
